An elegant Victorian carved mahogany spoon-back armchair, dating from the second half of the 19th century.

The shaped, deep-buttoned back flows into beautifully carved open-scroll arms, above a generous serpentine seat. Raised on carved front legs with porcelain castors and upholstered in a softly patterned cream fabric.

A graceful and characterful chair with strong decorative presence, equally suited to a bedroom, dressing room, fireside or quiet reading corner. Presented with age-related wear consistent with its age and use.
