Pair of Early 20th Century French Gilt Brass Cherub Wall Lights

A wonderfully decorative pair of French gilt brass wall lights, each with two candle-style branches and a pair of winged cherubs rising from an elaborate arrangement of scrolling foliage. Floral detail trails down each long backplate, giving the lights an elegant shape and plenty of presence on the wall.

Dating to the early 20th century, they have a warm, aged gilt finish that suits both period interiors and more dramatic contemporary schemes. Placed either side of a mirror, doorway or fireplace, they would make a striking pair.
