Late Georgian Mahogany Fall-Front Bureau

A substantial late Georgian mahogany fall-front bureau, displaying attractive figuring, rich colour and considerable presence.

The fall opens to reveal an unusually well-fitted interior, arranged with arched pigeonholes, numerous small drawers and a central cupboard, above a green baize writing surface. Below are two short over three graduated long drawers, fitted with oval brass handles and raised on bracket feet.

Offering excellent storage as well as a generous writing area, this is a handsome and practical piece of period furniture with plenty of character. Presented with honest age-related wear consistent with its age and use.
